Several students received minor injuries when a tractor-trailer collided with the bus they were in while on their senior class trip Tuesday.

WAYNE, N.J. — A cell phone video shows the seconds leading up to the horrific crash of a tractor-trailer into a bus carrying several Wayne Valley High School students in Pennsylvania Tuesday.

Amanda Dittig recorded the collision on her phone as it happened on Interstate 78. Students can be heard yelling and screaming before and after the crash.

The 37 students were on their way to Dorney Park in Allentown for their senior class trip. A guidance counselor and a teacher were also on the bus. Nine students were injured, officials said.
Five students were brought to Saint Luke's Hospital in nearby Eaton, evaluated, and released, Superintendent Mark Toback said. The remaining students were taken to Dorney Park where a Wayne Valley High School nurse evaluated them.

Philadelphia State Police Trooper Mark Allen did not return a phone message seeking comment Tuesday afternoon.
Police said that all three vehicles involved in the crash, the school bus, a Fed-Ex tractor-trailer, and a tanker trailer, were traveling west on the highway, 6ABC in Philadelphia reported. While heading up a hill, the bus started to have engine problems and the driver was forced to slow down, ABC reported.

The bus driver, police said, then tried to drive into the right shoulder and was sideswiped by the tractor-trailer, ABC reported. After it struck the bus, the Fed-Ex truck lost control, traveled across both the center lane and left lane, and struck a tanker trailer.
