MAHWAH, N.J. — Rep. Scott Garrett has endorsed Council President John Roth for mayor.
Roth has served on the council for 12 years. He served on the Board of Education for five years and the Planning Board for two. He is a retired marketing executive and spent more than 15 years in various senior management positions at Lowe Worldwide, an international marketing and communications firm.
"John has served this town very well over the last 12 years," Garrett said in a video message with Roth posted on the Roth for Mayor Facebook page. "He has given back to this town and now it is time to give back to John, but, more importantly, to elect John to be the next mayor of the town so he can continue to do those extraordinary things for this community."
