World's First MUNCHIES Food Hall Coming To American Dream

The world's first MUNCHIES food hall will be at the American Dream Meadowlands when the $3 billion entertainment and retail destination opens in the spring.

MUNCHIES is the food and culture site from VICE. The 38,000 square-foot hall will have 18 vendors and "will be a platform for creative and diverse culinary talent."

"The decision to create a MUNCHIES food hall was a no-brainer. We're always looking for opportunities to expand that MUNCHIES brand beyond digital media, and provide fun, offline experiences for our fanes to taste, interact, and learn, as well as tell our stories to new audiences," said John Martin, VICE's co-founder and publisher. "Food halls have always intrigued us, and we couldn't ask for more than partnering with a world-class operator like Triple Five. The American Dream property is nothing like we've ever seen before and we're beyond excited to have MUNCHIES be one of their partners."

MUNCHIES will have demonstrations from visiting chefs and engaging events. Food served there be wholly unique, like the Beef Marrow Cheeseburger and Eggplant Tempura.

"It's about creating a memorable environmental where our customers will interact, learn, and experience food like never before, said Dimitri Lalagos, senior vice president of leasing for American Dream.

In the way of food, there will also be more than a dozen restaurants and a huge food court with more than 100 culinary offerings.

To date, 15 retailers have been confirmed as coming to American Dream, along with several one-0f-a-kind entertainment options for kids and adults.

• Aritzia
• Banana Republic
• Gap
• Lululemon
• MAC
• Microsoft
• Pink
• Uniqlo
• Victoria's Secret

The entertainment ammenities include:

• A LEGOLAND Discovery Center
• KidZania, an 80,000-square-foot educational center that will allow kids 4 to 14 to take on the role of a surgeon, baker, pilot, archaeologist, truck driver or any one of more than 100 professions in a mini city. The city will have paved streets, vehicles and a self-contained economy run on "kidZos" currency.
• A 1,500-seat, 4D movie theater will allow moviegoers to "smell" the film they're watching.
• Big Snow America indoor snow park and chalet. Open 365 days a year. The first indoor ski and snowboard park in the Western Hemisphere with an 800-foot high ski slope and an ice-climbing wall.
• The first Sea Life Aquarium in New Jersey with a walk-through, saltwater tunnel
• An NHL regulation-sized ice skating rink will have recreational hockey and figure skating programs. The New York Rangers and Islanders and New Jersey Devils will be there as well.
