4 Candidates To Run For 2 Open Manalapan Township Committee Seats

MANALAPAN, NJ — Two committee seats are up for grabs this year in Manalapan, and four candidates have filed petitions with the Township clerk.

Current Republican committee members Mary Ann Musich and Eric Nelson are vying to keep their seats for another term. They will be challenged by Democrats Lisa Lenn and Jamie Herr.

The filing deadline to run was 4 p.m. on Monday. Again, from the Manalapan Township Clerk, here is who filed to run:

  • Republican candidates: Mary Ann Musich and Eric Nelson
  • Democrat candidates: Lisa Lenn and Jamie Herr

Voters will be asked to select two.

Musich is also the Deputy Mayor, a member of the Freehold Regional High School Board of Education and a liaison for the public safety and recreation committees.

Nelson currently serves as the liaison for the shade tree and transportation committee and is a member of the Manchester Essex Regional School District BOE.

In New Jersey, the primary election for 2022 will be held on Tuesday, June 7. The winners will receive their party's nomination for the general election, which will be held on Tuesday, November 8, and will include independent candidates.
