MANALAPAN-ENGLISHTOWN, NJ — Summer construction season is now underway as the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District (MERS) continues to make progress on referendum-funded projects.
The projects, which aim to address long-term facility needs across the district, will provide upgrades to support MERS students, staff members and the communities the district serves well into the future.
Since the district's last update, several projects have been completed, while additional work is scheduled to take place throughout the summer months.
Construction also continues on the addition at Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School (MEMS), where crews have reached several major milestones as the building begins to take shape.
Projects scheduled to take place or wrap up this summer, by school, include:
Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School (MEMS)
Phase II roofing upgrades, upgrades to the fire alarm system and auditorium lighting and sound, boiler replacement.
MEMS Addition:
Wall priming and metal door frame installation, electrical rough-ins, fire alarm sprinkler system piping and second-floor HVAC ductwork installation, HVAC piping and updates including univent replacement, ceramic tile in restrooms, acoustical ceiling grid, insulation, and interior wall framing.
Pine Brook Elementary School
Interior electrical upgrades and piping installation, roofing upgrades, phase II paving, restroom ADA accessibility upgrades
New casework installed
Fire Alarm panel should be completed by the fall
Generator should be completed by the fall
Doors and hardware will start after Milford Brook
Wemrock Brook Elementary School
Fire alarm system upgrades
HVAC upgrades
Staff parking lot repaving
Clark Mills Elementary School
Interior electrical upgrades, classroom storage cabinetry updates, window replacements, restroom ADA accessibility upgrades, Public Address system upgrades, New doors/hardware and Generator should be done by the fall
Milford Brook Elementary School
Roofing work, emergency generator electrical updates, classroom storage cabinetry updates, fire alarm system upgrades, restroom ADA accessibility upgrades, phase II paving and doors and hardware will start once finished at Clark.
Lafayette Mills Elementary School
Roofing work, HVAC upgrades will continue, emergency generator electrical upgrades, interior electrical upgrades, classroom storage cabinetry updates, window replacements and Phase II paving.
John I. Dawes Early Learning Center (ELC)
Public address system upgrades, Hardware is completed along with the three new doors and Generator should be completed by the fall
Taylor Mills Elementary School
HVAC upgrades will continue, fire alarm system upgrades, restroom ADA accessibility upgrades, and parking lot paving.
