MANALAPAN, NJ — New Jersey's first indoor slide park is set to host its grand opening event on Tuesday evening.
Slick City Action Park, located on Woodward Road in Manalapan, will welcome local leaders, community members and families to its grand opening event at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
The celebration will include an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with Manalapan Mayor Jack McNaboe, members of the Township Committee and the president of The Foundation for Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Schools (MERS).
Following the opening ceremony, Slick City will open its doors to the public from 6-9 p.m., with guests receiving 50% off admission throughout the evening.
The celebration will also support The Foundation for MERS, a local nonprofit dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for students in the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District.
"Bring your family and friends and help us celebrate the Grand Opening of Slick City Manalapan!" the park said in an online post. "We can't wait to celebrate with you!"
Owned by longtime New Jersey residents Andrew and Stacy Katz, Slick City Manalapan is designed to become "a year-round destination where families, friends, schools, sports teams and community groups can gather for active fun and memorable experiences."
The new indoor park features 14 dry slides delivering the brand's signature sensation of speed and elevation, including Big Wave, Hyper Loop, Corkscrew, Tailspin, Avalanche, Riptide and the dual-lane Turbo Twin.
Beyond the slides, guests can also enjoy a sport court, dodgeball court, ziprail, soft play area and net course, creating an immersive indoor entertainment experience for guests of all ages.
Younger visitors will also have their own dedicated play experience with Littles Rush, a slide designed specifically for younger children.
"We wanted to bring something completely new and exciting to New Jersey," Andrew Katz said. "The moment we experienced Slick City, we knew families here would love it."
"It's an attraction that gets kids and adults off their phones, interacting together and making memories in a way you simply can't find anywhere else."
Founded in 2021, Slick City is headquartered in St. Louis and Nashville and opened its first location in Denver, CO in early 2022.
Slick City Manalapan marks the park's first New Jersey location.
Slick City Action Park Manalapan is located at 150 Woodward Road.
