Car Stolen While Parked Outside Manalapan Diner
Last Sunday, Sept. 30 an employee's car was stolen from the parking lot of Gus's Diner in Manalapan, police said.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Last Sunday, Sept. 30 an employee's car was stolen from the parking lot of Gus's Diner in Manalapan, police said.
The 2005 Toyota Camry was stolen sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. from the parking lot of Gus's Diner, located at 135 Rt. 33 in Manalapan. The car is valued at approximately $800.00.
The vehicle was being borrowed by the owner's brother-in-law, who works at the diner, police said. He parked the vehicle there at the beginning of his shift and took the keys with him into work. When he left at the end of his shift, the vehicle was gone.

"We have cameras but they don't see back that far (into the parking lot)," said Chris Arvanitis, the owner of Gus's diner. "I really think it was maybe someone who knew him. It is very safe around here and we usually never have that kind of thing happen."
