Car Stolen While Man Eats At Chinese Restaurant In Manalapan

He left his keys in his Volvo, went into King Wok Chinese restaurant at 300 Gordon's Corner Road, and when he came out, the car was gone.

MANALAPAN, NJ — An 86-year-old man had his car stolen last week in Manalapan, when he went into a Chinese takeout place on Gordon's Corner Road and left his keys in the car.

The incident happened at 1:30 in the afternoon last Wednesday, June 13, at King Wok Chinese restaurant at 300 Gordon's Corner Road.

The man, an 86-year-old Holmdel resident, said he went inside King Wok to eat lunch and left his Volvo unlocked with the keys inside. When he came back out again, the car was gone.

The Volvo was later recovered in New Brunswick after being tracked by Volvo USA, Manalapan police said. No arrests have been made.
