Five Things You Need To Know

3. The Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education will hold a meeting Monday at 8 p.m. at Manalapan High School. A discussion about the tentative 2011-2012 budget is on the agenda.

4. Know of any historic buildings in Manalapan or Englishtown that you think are worthy of recognition? The Monmouth County Historical Commission is accepting nominations for its annual preservation awards program. Any structure, including office buildings, houses of worship, public buildings and homes, that is over 50 years old, has historic value, and has undergone preservation work in 2010 is eligible for the award.

Visit Monmouth County’s Web site for entry information and an application. Completed applications should be mailed to Monmouth County Historical Commission, Hall of Records Annex, 2^nd floor, Freehold, NJ 07728 by Friday, April 1.
