Five Things You Need To Know

1. The Howell Police Department will shift traffic to one lane on southbound Route 9 between Lane Mills Road and Alexander Avenue from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19 during the viewing of slain police officer Christopher Matlosz at Lakewood Funeral Home in Howell.

2. The National Weather Service predicts a rainy morning, but after 10 a.m., clouds will eventually make way for sun. A high of 42 degrees is expected, with a low of 24 degrees Wednesday night. The forecast calls for snow to begin falling the night of Thursday, Jan. 20 and into the next morning.

3. The Monmouth County Library will host a screening of Munyurangabo, a film of friendship tested by ethnic boundaries in Rwanda, from 2 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.

4. The Manalapan High School Girls Varsity Basketball team will hit the court against Brick Memorial at 5:30 p.m. at Manalapan.
