Harassment, Fraud, Theft: Manalapan Police Blotter

Manalapan Police reported four incidents of harassment from June 10 to June 16.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Manalapan Police reported incidents of harassment, fraud, theft and more from June 10 to June 16.

June 10

At 1:11 p.m., patrols responded to a home in Manalapan for a harassment report. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 30-year-old Manalapan resident. The victim reported being harassed by a contractor on this date, both in person and by text message.

At 2:43 p.m., patrols responded to a business along State Route 33 for a theft of property complaint. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 33-year-old Old Bridge resident. The victim reported that someone had stolen a wallet containing $1,350 in cash sometime between Tuesday, June 9, and Wednesday, June 10. This case is pending further investigation.

A 68-year-old Manalapan resident reported that their neighbor was harassing them by banging on their bedroom window and that an argument ensued. The victim was advised of the procedure to sign complaints.

June 12

A 42-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they were scammed into purchasing four iPhones for an unknown subject.

A 19-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they were being harassed through voicemail.

June 15

A 67-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a 92-year-old resident, over whom they have power of attorney, was notified by the bank that someone tried to open an account using their information.

At 4:33 p.m., Ptlm. Alexander Boyce responded to the lobby of police headquarters for a walk-in report. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 55-year-old Manalapan resident. The victim reported that someone opened an online bank account using the victim’s information and transferred $49,000 from another account held by the victim into the fraudulently opened account. The victim’s bank was able to return the stolen funds, and they are no monetary loss at this time.

June 16

A 79-year-old Manalapan resident reported that someone made multiple purchases using their bank account totaling $815.68.

At 10:33 a.m., Ptlm. Edward Burns responded to the lobby of police headquarters for a walk-in report. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 65-year-old Manalapan resident. It was reported that the victim was scammed into sending someone $2,975 in small increments starting in May 2026.

At 11:03 p.m., Ptlm. Peter Pagano responded to the lobby of police headquarters in reference to a walk-in report. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 69-year-old Manalapan resident. The victim reported being verbally harassed by a neighbor earlier on this date.
