The state Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert, which means that air pollution concentrations in the area may be unhealthy for sensitive people, including children and the elderly.

Strenuous activity and outdoor exercise should be avoided.

On Monday, temperatures will climb and are expected to reach 92 degrees around 2 p.m..

Thunderstorms are possible between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

By 10 p.m., temperatures will be in the 70s and the threat of isolated thunderstorms will return.
