Manalapan Day To Return After Two Years
Manalapan Day will take place June 18, and the call is out for sponsors for the event.

MANALAPAN, N.J. — Manalapan Day, the biggest township event of the year, is back this year after a two-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The longstanding event, known as the kick-off event of the summer, will take place Saturday, June 18, at the Manalapan Recreation Center. It runs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., according to information from the Manalapan Arts Council.
Business and community sponsors are currently being sought for the event and can contact the township at 732-446-8308 or by email at info@mtnj.org regarding applications for sponsorship.

The event is presented by the Manalapan Arts Council, and in the past has attracted thousands of attendees from Manalapan and neighboring towns, said Judith Drucker, a founding member of the council who provided information about the event.
The day offers exhibits, local performance groups, food vendors, games, rides, ponies and a petting zoo.

The classic rock band Jay and The Americans will take the main stage at 8 p.m., with hits like “Come A Little Bit Closer” and “She Cried.”
Fireworks will conclude the evening.
