Manalapan Fire Leaves 1 Dead In Covered Bridge Development
A residential fire in the senior living community this weekend left one man dead, authorities said. The cause is still under investigation.
MANALAPAN, NJ - A residential fire in the Covered Bridge development in Manalapan Township Saturday morning left one dead, officials said.
The blaze was reported around 8:30 a.m. on the second floor of the building, according to Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Cynthia Scott. One man was trapped inside and was later pronounced dead by authorities.
The fire appears to be accidental but remains under investigation, Scott said.

The deceased’s name has not yet been released as of Tuesday morning.
