Manalapan Named Tree City for the 21st Year by Arbor Foundation

Manalapan is one of 180 Tree Cities in the state.

Manalapan has been named a Tree City again this year, an honor the township has become accustomed to over the years as this is their 21st year as an official Tree City.

There are 180 Tree Cities in New Jersey, including Freehold Township, Freehold Borough, Marlboro, and Colts Neck.

There are four standards to becoming a Tree City. The town must have a Tree Board of Department, a tree care ordinance, a community forestry program with a budget of at least $2 per capita and an Arbor Day observance or proclamation.
