Manalapan, NJ - All the arrests and incidents in Manalapan Township from Dec. 14-20, released by township police and unedited by Patch. Traffic warrant arrests have been omitted.
Possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia: On Sunday, December 20, 2015 at approximately 11:25 pm Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on Gordon’s Corner Road near Old Queens Boulevard on a 2000 Volvo for a traffic violation. The driver, Morgan Fisher, a 26 year old, black male Manalapan resident, employed as warehouse laborer, was found to be in possession of less that 50 grams marijuana and paraphernalia. Mr. Fisher was arrested, processed then released on a summons with a court date in January, 2016.
Theft of a Vehicle: On Saturday, December 19, 2015 at approximately 1:28am, a Manalapan resident (60 year old white male) on Rowena Way reported that his vehicle was stolen from his driveway. It occurred sometime between 7:15pm on 12/19/2015 and 1:20am on 12/20/2015. The victim is still in possession of all of the keys. This incident was handled by Patrolman Eric Voorand.

ID Theft: On Friday, December 18, 2015 at approximately 1:22 pm, a sixty-seven-year-old, retired, white, male, Manalapan resident responded to the Manalapan Township Police Department to report an Identity Theft. An unknown actor had utilized the victim’s personal information to apply for numerous credit cards, succeeding in obtaining two, and making fraudulent purchases in excess of $7,000. Ptl. William Dutton took the report.
Driving While Intoxicated: On Friday, December 18th, 2015 at approximately 1:15 am, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on U.S Highway 9 south after observing several motor vehicle violations. The operator was identified as 59 year old white male Manalapan resident Scott M Ross. Ross who is a self employed salesman was found to be Driving While Intoxicated. Ross was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, and was processed. Ross was later released from police custody pending a court date to appear.

K-9 utilized; Missing juvenile found: On Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 5:20 pm, Ptl. Adam Sosnowski along with his partner, K-9 Grim, responded to 520 Route 9 North, Manalapan, for a report of a missing juvenile. The adult reporting party advised that after a verbal argument with her 15 year old son, she left him inside her vehicle while she entered a store. When she returned to her vehicle, the juvenile was gone. Ptl. Sosnowski utilized his partner K-9 Grim in light rain to track the juvenile. After tracking approximately 1/4 mile, K-9 Grim located the juvenile. The juvenile was uninjured and reunited with his parents.
Driving While Intoxicated: On Thursday, December 17th, 2015 at approximately 2:32AM, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis responded to Century Way for a report of a vehicle that struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. Through investigation it was determined the operator identified as Francesca Meo, a 22 year old, white female, of Manalapan, employed as a sales associate was driving while intoxicated. The subject was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, and was processed. Subject was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses and will have a mandatory court appearance in Manalapan Township Municipal Court.
Motor Vehicle Accident / Hit and Run: On December 15, 2015 at approximately 2:15 pm, Ptl. Mark Casagrande responded to the area of Amberly Drive for a motor vehicle that struck a light pole and left the scene. The vehicle suffered heavy damage and the impact caused the light pole to fall over. Upon arrival, Ptl. Casagrande made the scene safe before beginning his investigation. Ptl. Casagrande was able to locate the accused vehicle in a nearby development. The driver was identified as Elizabeth Hays, a 53 year old, white female, and resident of Manalapan. Elizabeth was charged with: Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Report an Accident, and Careless Driving. Hays was given a mandatory court date. This case is pending court.
Criminal Mischief: On December 15, 2015 at approximately 7:15 am, Ptl. Mark Casagrande responded to Battleground Country Club Golf Course for a report of criminal mischief. Investigation revealed that unknown actor(s) drove a motor vehicle onto the golf course and caused approximately $5000 in damage. Ptl. Mark Casagrande is handling the investigation anyone with information is urged to telephone Ptl. Casagrande at Manalapan Twp. Police Headquarters (732)446-4300.
Fraud: On December 14, 2015 at 3:03pm Ptl. Ross Dessel responded to a Pease Road address for a fraud report. Victim a 37 year old, Indian Male, Manalapan resident, related that he paid a plumber in May, 2015 $300.00, for work that was never completed. Victim has attempted to make contact with the suspect, but has not been able to make contact with the plumber. This case is pending complaints by the victim.
