Fraud
On Tuesday, January 28, at approximately 5:33 p.m., the victim, a 64-year-old resident of Manalapan, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that her personal bank accounts were compromised by unknown actor(s) after receiving a phone call telling her she was receiving a refund from an anti-virus software company from whom she had recently purchased services from. The victim later learned the caller was fraudulent. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.

Serious Motor Vehicle Collision
On Monday, January 28, at approximately 9:20 p.m., patrols responded to the intersection of State Highway 9 and Taylors Mills Road in reference to a Vehicle vs. Pedestrian collision. The victim, a 36-year-old male Manalapan, NJ resident was crossing State Highway 9 when he was struck by a motorist traveling north. The pedestrian was rendered aid and flown by New Jersey State Police helicopter to Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. The New Jersey State Police, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), Gordon’s Corner Fire Company, Englishtown-Manalapan EMS, and MONOC Paramedics all were on scene and assisted. If anyone has information in reference to this incident, please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department. The collision is being investigated by Patrolman Matthew Meyler. Warrant Arrest
On Monday January 20 at approximately 2:10 p.m., patrols responded to a business on Tennent Road in reference to a welfare check of a subject. Further investigation revealed that a 56-year-old female, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan had a warrant issued for her arrest by the Freehold Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500. She was arrested, processed and turned over to the Freehold Township Police Department where she was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Kyle Earley was the arresting officer.
Fraud/Forgery
On Monday, January 27 at approximately 11:59 a.m., the victim, a 54-year-old Marlboro resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters in reference to a report of fraud. The victim advised that a known subject forged his signature on a legal document and has been filing civil lawsuits against the victim as a result of the forged documents. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Sunday January 26 at approximately 8:05 p.m., Patrolman James Guarino responded to the area of Daum Road for a welfare check on a male subject. During the investigation, it was determined that the subject, an 80-year-old male, married, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, was found to have warrants that were issued for his arrest by the East Brunswick Municipal Court for $2,000. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, January 24 at approximately 3:40 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Millhurst Road for a welfare check on a male subject seated near the roadway. Further investigation revealed that the subject, a 26-year-old male, unemployed and resident of Asbury Park had warrants that was issued for his arrest by the Belmar Municipal Court in the amount of$1,000.00 and the Bradley Beach Municipal Court in the amount of $500. He was arrested and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Sean McCarthy was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, January 24 at approximately 12:46 p.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 34-year-old male, single, employed as a manager and resident of Sayreville, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Monmouth County Family Court in the amount of $6,031. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest
On Thursday, January 23 at approximately 1:01 p.m., Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 24-year-old male, single, employed as a package handler and resident of Freehold Township, was found to be in
possession of suspected marijuana less than 50 grams and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on a complaint summons. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Wednesday, January 22, at approximately 2:45 p.m., the victim, an 82-year-old resident of Manalapan responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that she sent money to an unknown actor after receiving a phone call telling her she had won a sweepstakes. The victim later learned the sweepstakes was fraudulent. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, January 24, at approximately 12:01 p.m., a 26-year-old male, single, unemployed, and resident of Monroe Township turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters for a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. He was arrested, processed, and released after posting bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the arresting officer.
