Manalapan Police Blotter, March 12 - March 18

Items were stolen last week from several mailboxes on Pence Road and Shilling Road. Be aware.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by the Manalapan police, and unedited by Patch, all the incidents in the Township last week:

Theft of Property

On Sunday, March 18, at approximately 12:07 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams responded to Pence Road in Manalapan Township for a report of theft. After speaking to homeowners in the area, it was determined that an unknown actor(s) had stolen items from several mailboxes off Pence Road and Shilling Road. The incidents occurred on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Any additional victims are urged to contact this agency. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, March 18, 2018, at approximately 9:07 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 South, Manalapan Twp. The driver, Mark Allegrucci a 36-year-old, divorced, mechanic, male, resident of Staten Island, NY, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Neptune Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed posted bail and released.

Fraud
On Saturday, March 17, 2018, at approximately 5:39 pm, a 45-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters in reference to a report of fraud. The victim related that an unknown actor(s) had made a purchase on iTunes in the amount of $99.99 utilizing their credit card information. The transaction was not approved. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report.

Theft

On Friday, March 16 at approximately 4:00 pm, a 70-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor(s) had stolen items from a Yates Road residence during the course of several months. The items are valued at approximately $800. Patrolman Edward Hedden took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, March 15, 2018, at approximately 12:31 pm, Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 North, in Manalapan Township. The Driver, John Scivoletto a 39-year-old, married, self-employed, male, resident of Bay Head, NJ, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Brielle Municipal Court in the amount of $89.00. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed posted bail and released.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, March 15, 2018, at approximately 12:36 pm, Patrolman Ross Dessel made a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 North, in Manalapan Township. The Driver, Michael Vidal a 31-year-old, unmarried, self-employed, male, resident of Elmhurst, NY, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Lodi Boro Municipal Court in the amount of $1500.00. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and turned over to the Lodi Boro Police Department.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, March 15, 2018, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Patrolman Seth Kreizman conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle on Woodward Road, in the area of Route 33. The driver of the vehicle, identified as John Simonini, a 43-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Monroe, NJ, who is employed as a painter, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Ocean County Superior Court in the amount of $10,883.00. Mr. Simmons was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

Burglary/Criminal Mischief
On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at approximately 10:47 am, a 57-year-old, Manalapan resident reported that between 9:00 am on March 13, 2018 and 10:30 am on March 14, 2018, unknown actor(s) forced entry to a business located on Wilson Avenue. No items of value were reported missing. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

Serious Motor Vehicle Crash (Already reported on Patch last week: 2 People Hit On Rt. 33 In Manalapan Tuesday Night)

On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a motor vehicle crash occurred on Route 33 in the area of Sawgrass Drive involving two vehicles in the left lane of travel. The driver’s subsequently exited the vehicles, at which time a third vehicle collided with the rear of one of the vehicles. The two drivers of the initial crash sustained injuries as a result of this collision. The drivers of all three vehicles, as well as 2 passengers, were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick and Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad, the Millstone Township First Aid Squad, Freehold First Aid Squad, and the Manalapan Fire Company also responded to the scene. This incident is pending further investigation. Any witnesses to this incident are asked to please contact Patrolman Kyle Williams or Patrolman Matthew Meyler of the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300.

Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at approximately 4:40 p.m., David Campbell, a 51- year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Parlin, NJ, who is employed as a chef, was placed under arrest at the Middlesex County Correctional Institution by Patrolman Kyle Williams regarding two warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amounts of $1,500.00 and $500.00. Mr. Campbell was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at approximately 1:08 p.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 for a traffic violation. During the motor vehicle stop, the driver, identified as Jean Jordonne, a 63-year-old, unemployed, male, resident of Neptune, NJ, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Neptune Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Jordonne was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Neptune Police Department in lieu of bail.

Warrant Arrest

On Monday, March 12, 2018, at approximately 2:30 pm, Natalie Mensah, a 39-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Old Bridge, who is employed as a consultant, turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Mensah was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jennie Rae Hensley handled the arrest.

Identity Theft
On Monday, March 12, 2018, at 12:39 pm, a 62-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown subject used his personal information in attempt to file a federal tax return in the victim’s name and steal the return. There was no monetary loss to the victim. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky took the report.
