On April 26, 2014, The Manalapan Teen Leadership Committee distributed approximately 700 tree seedlings to Manalapan residents.
A beautiful sunny morning can attribute to the numerous residents that came to the giveaway event, which was held in the parking lot of Town Hall.

Manalapan was provided with 7 species of tree seedlings which included pines, oaks and a silky dogwood.

The Teen Committee provided assistance to residents in selecting tree seedlings as well as providing instructional literature for planting and caring for the trees. Also in attendance and to lend a helping hand during the giveaway were Deputy Mayor Jack McNaboe, Committeewoman Susan Cohen and Committeewoman Mary Ann Musich.
The seedlings were provided by the New Jersey State Forestry Services, a division of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, for the New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign in an effort to replace trees that were lost due to Super Storm Sandy.
