Manalapan Woman Killed When Car Hits Deer
Nalani Tesalona, 29, was killed when her car hit a deer, then a tree and rolled over into a ditch on Buckelew Avenue.

A Manalapan woman was killed the day before Thanksgiving when her car hit a deer in Monroe Township.
Nalani Tesalona, 29, was driving west on Buckelew Avenue in Monroe Township, according to a report. She hit the deer near the intersection of Gravel Hill-Spotswood Road, at 3:12 a.m. Wednesday.
Her car then struck a tree and rolled over into a ditch.

She sustained head injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
Tesalona was interested in marine biology, according to her Facebook profile. The last thing she posted on Facebook was in 2014, when she wrote, “My niece is born!!! ... Whoo Hoo She may be all the way in London but my heart is there.”

Her wake is Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Freedman’s Funeral Home in Manalapan. Her funeral is Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Freehold.
