Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornik also recently announced the return of summer camps in the township, although typical summer camp fare and related activities may be slightly different for children this year due to COVID-19 concerns.

“At this time we are excited to be moving forward to a “healthier” new normal, but we are not quite there yet as we are still waiting on state guidance and safety protocols regarding summer camps,” Hornik wrote in an email to residents. “That being said, we are pleased to announce that we are hard at work making sure that we will be offering some type of summer program for our community. Our camp will not look like it has in previous summers with traditional trips off-site on buses, but we will be offering a program that will be safe and fun for our campers.”

Marlboro summer camps will not be offering travel, theater, before or after care offered this year. Registration will be open to Marlboro residents grades K through 6 on a first-come, first-serve basis.

More details will be announced at a later date, Hornik said.
