Men Try to Steal Hot Dog Cart in Manalapan

Wilson Avenue man says he caught two men in the act of trying to steal a hot dog cart he kept on his property.

Manalapan, NJ - Two men tried to steal a hot dog cart from a Manalapan resident’s property Sunday morning, police report.

A Wilson Avenue resident, 54, called police at 8:45 a.m. Sunday to report that he caught two men trying to steal a hot dog cart/trailer from his property at 8 a.m. that morning. The hot dog cart is valued at approximately $7,000.

The two suspects are described as a white male in his 40s, about 6’03” with a heavy build, and a Hispanic male described as being approximately 5’06.” The property owner said he caught the men trying to make off with the cart, and they fled in a green pick-up truck.
