The pasta dinner is a major fundraiser for the Village Inn, said Marie J Miczák, a representative for the historic group.
Located at the corner of Water and Main streets in Englishtown, the Inn is dedicated to preserving history from the 18th century and the time of the Battle of Monmouth, which took place on Monmouth Battlefield in Manalapan.

The Inn's docents host tours the third Sunday of every month. Docents in period attire bring Revolutionary War times to life with stories, exhibits and local excavated artifacts. Private tours of the inn are also available. For more information, visit the Inn's website.
Village Inn was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, said Miczák.
The organization to protect the Inn was founded on Nov. 19, 1969, under the leadership of Evelyn Harrod and Stanley Lehrer. The group was named the official historical society of Englishtown.
