Revolutionary War Reenactment Comes To Manalapan
Two New York battles will be staged at the Monmouth Battlefield State Park

Two Revolutionary War battles that took place in New York will be reenacted at the Monmouth Battlefield State Park in Manalapan this weekend.
The Battle of Brooklyn Heights and the Battle of Harlem Heights will be reenacted in commemoration of their 240th anniversaries. Usually held in New York, the Manalapan park was chosen because of the space and facilities available to reenactors and spectators.
Over 400 uniformed "troops," cannons, and horses will take part in the two battles. Camps, sutlers, and demonstrations of period cooking, laundry, music and medical practices will also take place.
