Theft at Two Rt. 9 Shops, Police Report
Luxury Labels Consignment Store and Classic Furs and Leather both reported thefts.

Manalapan, NJ - Two stores in the township reported incidents of theft and shoplifting last week, according to Manalapan police.
On January 6 at 3:40 p.m. an officer was called to Luxury Labels Consignment Store on Rt. 9 for a report of shoplifting. Three black female suspects stole three pairs of shoes and one jacket from the store, employees said, with the total value of the merchandise reported at $2,096. After running out of the store, the three suspects were last seen fleeing the area in a black SUV.
A day later, on January 7, police were called to Classic Furs and Leather just a bit north on Route 9. A Keansburg man working there said $3,480 in cash was taken by unknown actors. This incident occurred sometime between December 27, and January 4, 2016, he told police.

The two cases do not appear to be related, police said, as one was a shoplifting and the other a theft.
