Manalapan, NJ - Do you ever go to the Welsh Farms on Highway 33?

It wasn’t the big prize, but the store sold a winning $50,000 lottery ticket, the state announced within the past hour on Thursday.

“Wow, I had no idea!” exclaimed store owner Saqib Baba. He said that NJ Lottery has yet to contact him.

The state did call another Monmouth County store, Keansburg Pharmacy, to tell them that they also sold a winning $50,000 ticket, that store owner confirmed to Patch.

In total, 48 stores in the state, and three in Monmouth County, sold winning tickets. A complete list is here. The third Monmouth County location is Penny Pantry Food Store in Freehold.

“This is great, I am very happy,” said Baba. ”I hope the person comes in and let’s us know.”

He said his store has sold winning tickets in the past, including a $100,000 and a $200,000 winner.
