Belmar Man Faces Multiple Theft Charges

A Belmar man faces several theft charges across three different towns, police said. 

Daniel T. Ferrara Jr., 40, of 14th Avenue, allegedly stole a car in Neptune, a purse in Manasquan, and a bicycle from a store in Belmar, according to the criminal complaints. 

On Aug. 20, Ferrara stole a 2001 Mercury valued at $8000; on July 6 a canvas purse from the Manasquan Beach House containing more than $500 in valuables; and Aug. 22 a black Jamis Boss cruiser from D.J.'s Cycles, the complaints show. 

Ferrara is scheduled to face each charge in Superior Court, documents show. 

His bail total was set at $60,000, documents show.
