Partly sunny skies forecast for later, moderate rip current risk.

The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies later, with a 20 percent chance of isolated showers.
It will be cooler today, with highs only in the upper 70s. Beach winds will be from the northeast at 15 miles per hour.
The surf will be around three feet, with southeast swells of two feet. The water temperature is a balmy 74degrees.
There's a moderate risk of rip currents, which means that wind or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Swim only in guarded areas and discuss any possible surf zone hazards with them.
There is no lightning threat today. The UV index is a 7, which the National Weather Service considers high.
High tide at Belmar was at 7:30 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 1:28 p.m., followed by another high tide at 7:47 p.m.
