Studying nursing at Georgian Court University, she's inspired by her family's medical background and a personal connection to organ transplantation, and is dedicating her education to her late uncle's memory. 
• Rare mauve stinger jellyfish sightings increase along Jersey Shore (nj.com subscription) — Beachgoers have recently reported rare mauve stinger jellyfish washing up in Manasquan and other Jersey Shore towns, raising concerns about painful stings. Experts say the species is usually found offshore, but changing conditions may be bringing more of them to local beaches, so swimmers should stay alert and heed any posted warnings.
