Sentencing For Police Officer Who Gunned Down Ex-Wife In Asbury Park Last Summer Postponed
New sentencing date for Philip Seidle is set for Sept. 29.

The sentencing date for former Neptune Police Officer Phillip Seidle - who shot his ex-wife 12 times on an Asbury Park Street in June 2015 - has been postponed until Sept. 29, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.
Seidle pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the shooting in March and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Seidle murdered her mother in front of her, authorities have said.
The suspended police sergeant did say in court that he fired 12 bullets into the windshield and driver’s window of his ex-wife’s car. He said his ex-wife interfered with the custody of their children during the three-and-a-half years they were separated, according to app.com.

Seidle said he soon found out from one of his daughters that the man had been living there for about two weeks.
