Borough officials are asking residents to only pile leaves in the gutter during their neighborhood's designated weeks of pickup.
Additional, officials request resident to seek off-street parking during their designated pickup weeks.
"Obviously, cars in the way make it difficult, time consuming and at times impossible to collect the leaves," the release says.
Officials also ask that residents do not mix in grass clippings, twigs or branches with their leaves, as they can damage the collection equipment, the release says.
"If your leaf piles have sticks, dirt, grass, or contains anything besides leaves, your leaves will NOT be picked up," the release says.
Branches should be tied in 3 ft. x 1 ft. bundles and placed at the curb (not the gutter) on the first trash pickup of each week, the release says.
Sports equipment such as basketball hoops, skateboard ramps, etc., should also be removed from the borough's right of way during pickups, the release says.
