What’s with you? and This Week’s Sales

So now that I have been Blogging for a few weeks, you may be asking yourself, what is the purpose for posting these closed Sale prices every week?  There are a few reasons I made a decision to do this.

First, I promised in my first post to inform you and help you build a knowledge base. And this information is part of that promise.

Keep in mind that the information is “public” once a sale has occurred. Back in the “olde days” you could go to your local paper and about a week after a sale there would be a list of the homes that were sold, with the price. Well, to the best of my knowledge that is not the case much anymore or at least not on a regular basis.  Frankly, I don’t find too many people that read the paper much anymore anyway.  You can go on various websites and look up a particular property to see if/when it sold but there isn’t any easy way that I am aware of, to search everything sold in a specific area for a very specific timeframe; and websites are not necessarily always up to date.

I hope that my posts can help to fill that void. For just the curious, you can go look up some specifics about these homes online, and learn a little more about them. But as I mentioned in another post, you will not get the details of the transaction, which will explain that sold price.
