2 Men Hospitalized After Motorcycles Collide In Manchester: PD
The two men were thrown from their motorcycles as a result of the collision and suffered serious head injuries, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Two men were hospitalized after their were thrown from their motorcycles following a collision at Ridgeway Boulevard in Manchester on Friday afternoon, police said Saturday.
Kevin Zodl, 49, of the Fords section of Woodbridge Township, and Jeffery Saliski, 51, of Manchester, both were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment of serious head injuries, Manchester Capt. Todd Malland said.
The crash happened about 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Route 571 and Ridgeway Boulevard. Zodl was driving a Harley Davidson west on Route 571 behind a vehicle that was slowing down to make a right turn onto Ridgeway Boulevard. As the vehicle started to turn, Zodl continued west and collided with the Kawasaki Ninja driven by Saliski, who was trying to turn left from Ridgeway Boulevard onto Route 571, Malland said.

The collision caused both to be thrown from their motorcycles, he said. Zodl sustained significant head injuries and Saliski suffered serious wrist and head injuries, he said.
As of late Friday evening, both drivers were listed in stable condition, Malland said.

Detours were in place for several hours while emergency workers tended to the injured, and while officers conducted the investigation.
Assisting at the scene were members of both the Manchester and Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Departments, as well as EMTs from Quality Medical Transport and Manchester Volunteer First Aid. Also assisting were paramedics and medical personnel from MONOC.
Sgt. Antonio Ellis and Patrolman Ian Bole are investigating.
