The driver, a Berkeley Township man, turned himself in to Manchester police after the department posted on social media about the crash.

MANCHESTER, NJ — An Ocean County man has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident after Manchester police posted a video of a Door Dash delivery driver hitting a car, dropping off the order and leaving.
Richard Ethier, 62, of Berkeley Township, turned himself in to Manchester police on Jan. 28 and identified himself as the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck seen in the video of the crash, which happened Jan. 23, police said.
Manchester police said the crash was reported about 8:45 p.m. Jan. 23 in the 900 block of Birmingham Avenue in the Pine Lake Park section.

The crash was captured on the homeowner's video surveillance, and it showed a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado colliding with a parked 2007 Honda Civic. After the pickup truck stopped, the driver got out and walked up to the house to deliver the Door Dash order to the resident, police said.
The driver then left without telling the owner or police about the crash, Manchester police said.

Manchester police said they contacted Door Dash, but the company provided limited information, including the man's first name but only his last initial.
The video posted on the Manchester police social media accounts led to "numerous tips from our followers to help us identify the vehicle and driver."
Ethier was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report an accident, police said.
"We would like to thank everyone in our community for not only helping us out with this motor vehicle crash, but also the owner of the parked vehicle," police said.
The crash was investigated by the Manchester Township Police Department’s Patrol Division.
