Manchester Man Charged With DWI After Lacey Crash
Police say he ran from the 1 a.m. crash, leaving his car at the scene.

Lacey police recently arrested a Whiting man on drunk driving charges after he fled a motor crash on Lacey Road at the intersection of Newark Avenue.
Thomas Pierson 4th, 24, was also charged with assault by auto, resisting arrest by flight, reckless driving and driving while on the suspended list, Sgt. Paul Sullivan said.
Police officers responded to the accident at 1:04 a.m. on May 31. They determined that Pierson had fled the scene on foot. He was quickly located a block away on Alpine Street, Sullivan said.

Pierson was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries sustained during the crash. The driver of the vehicle he struck was treated for minor injuries at the scene, he said.
Pierson‘s bail was set at $25,000. Patrolman Patrick Watkins is the investigating officer, Sullivan said.
