Fire Leaves Pine Acres Manor Home Uninhabitable In Manchester

There were no injuries in the fire, Manchester police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — A fire significantly damaged a mobile home in Pine Acres Manor on Thursday morning, leaving the home uninhabitable, Manchester police said.

The fire was reported at 9:01 a.m., and smoke and flames were seen coming from the rear of the home when police and firefighters arrived, Lt. James Komsa said.

The residents had gotten out of the home before authorities arrived, he said, and there were no injuries reported.

The home sustained fire and water damage to the interior at the back of the house, and it was deemed uninhabitable by the building inspector, he said.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation but the preliminary investigation has found the fire was not suspicious in nature.

Manchester Detective Richard Conklin and the Ocean County Fire Marshal are investigating.

The Manchester Township Police, Fire, and EMS, and firefighters from the Manchester and Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Companies responded, along with the Manchester Township Building Department, Manchester Township OEM and the American Red Cross.
