Letter To The Editor: If You Need Help With VA, Social Security, Congressman Wants To Know

An open letter from Congressman Tom MacArthur to the constituents of the 3rd District:

Dear Friend:

As your congressman, I believe one of the most important jobs I have is providing assistance to the constituents I represent.

Burlington and Ocean counties are comprised of some of the most hardworking and caring people I have ever known and I want to provide support in any way I can. My staff and I are here to help you cut through the red tape and get answers to the questions and problems you are having with the federal government.

If you are having a difficult time receiving your hard-earned Social Security benefits, dealing with an unresponsive Veterans Administration, or your business is getting the run-around from a federal agency, we are here to help.

You can often obtain an answer or resolve your problems by directly contacting a federal agency or by visiting its website. However, when additional help is required, my staff and I will open a case and act as your liaison with the appropriate federal agency to assist you in your efforts to resolve the problem.

Our goal is to be a useful and compassionate resource to provide updates on the status of each individual case and continue communicating with all available parties. Over the last year our office has opened over 1,500 individual cases to assist South Jersey residents. In some cases, our efforts have resulted in life-changing results from offices like the Social Security Administration, the IRS and the VA.
