Man Busted Again On Heroin Dealing Charges: Manchester Police

MANCHESTER, NJ -- A Manchester man has been arrested for the second time in less than a month in connection with heroin distribution.

Glenworth O. Guiste, 38, of Beechmont Street, Manchester, was arrested Wednesday after a three-week investigation, Manchester Lt. Vincent Manco said. Guiste had been arrested May 6 by Toms River police in connection with an investigation over the course of several weeks into heroin distribution from a Toms River motel, Toms River police said last week.

In the Toms River arrest, police seized 274 wax folds of heroin. Manchester police did not release how much heroin was seized in Wednesday's arrest. 

Manco said the Manchester investigation resulted in a search warrant being executed at Guiste's Manchester residence (Toms River police listed his residence as South Toms River). During the search, police seized heroin, a gun and more than $1,800 in cash, which Manco said is believed to be the proceeds of heroin sales in the Manchester area.

Guiste was charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and certain persons not to possess weapons, Manco said. Total bail was set at $85,000 and Guiste was taken to the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, where he remains in custody in lieu of bail, according to jail records.

The heroin, cash, firearm and 2003 Ford Explorer were seized by police, Manco said.

Assisting with the Manchester investigation were members of the Toms River Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team, the Manchester Police Investigations Bureau, Manchester Police K-9 Unit and Manchester Police Patrol Bureau, Manco said.
