The man and another worker were moving food at Three B's Bar and Bistro on Route 70 at the time of the accident, police said.

LAKEHURST, NJ — A Lakehurst man was killed Sunday when a freight elevator came down on him at a restaurant in the borough, Police Chief Eric Higgins said.

Carranza-Lopez, who was an employee of the restaurant, and another restaurant employee were moving a delivery of food to the basement of the restaurant when the elevator apparently malfunctioned and lowered on him, Higgins said.
