Manchester Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration Update

Rain predicted for Friday evening has prompted a change in Manchester Township's Christmas festivities plans.

MANCHESTER, NJ — With rain expected to fall across Ocean County on Friday evening, Manchester Township has canceled the Christmas tree lighting celebration in front of town hall.

If you thought you were missing the chance to see Santa, don't fret. Manchester Recreation director Tracey Lynch said the township will light the Christmas tree at Harry Wright Lake on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Christmas in the Pines celebration.

That event runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 9, and has a raindate of Dec. 10.
