MANCHESTER, NJ — The Manchester Township Police Department is accepting applications for its summer Youth Police Academy.
The academy will be held at the Manchester Township police headquarters from Aug. 14-17 and is open to students entering the sixth, seventh or eighth grade in September 2017. They must be residents of Manchester.
"The Youth Police Academy is not a 'boot camp' for troubled youth, but a camp designed to operate like an actual police academy for those interested in law enforcement," the police department said.
