Police say the man, Tiago J. Dias, 29, knew the teenage girl.

A Manchester man has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, after he allegedly repeatedly assaulted a 14-year-old girl, police say.
Tiago J. Dias, 29, of Gladstone Street in the Pine Lake Park section, is accused of sexually assaulting the girl several times from January until his arrest on Friday, Manchester Capt. Todd Malland said. Dias is known to the victim, he said.
The arrest was the result of a joint investigation was conducted by Detective Richard Jupinka of the Manchester Township Police Department and Detective Melissa Matthews of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit, Malland said.

Dias is charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a minor, he said. Ocean County Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels set bail at $100,000 with no 10 percent option and Dias was taken to the Ocean County Jail. He was also served with a restraining order entered under “Nicole’s Law.” “Nicole’s Law” permits the victim of a sexual offense to obtain a restraining order against their offender which bars any form of contact as a condition of bail, Malland said.
A photo of Dias was not immediately available.
