A Manchester Township man was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center Monday after his car struck a house on Commonwealth Boulevard, then a fence on Southampton Boulevard, police said.
Police responded to the single vehicle crash at 10:11 a.m. at 1112 Southampton Boulevard. A 2013 Hyundai Sonata driven by Christian Sorrentino left the roadway and continued on the lawn before hitting a house at 1216 Commonwealth Boulevard.
The car then hit a fence at 1112 Southampton Boulevard before coming to a stop in the backyard of the home , police said.

The driver was identified as Christian Sorrentino, 45. Sorrentino may have suffered a medical emergency while heading west on Commonwealth Boulevard, police said.
Sorrentino initially was unresponsive at the scene when police arrived, but begain to show signs of consciousness. He was transported by helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Patrolman Douglas Higgins of the Manchester Township Police Traffic Safety Section is investigating the crash.
