Manchester Schools Deliver Thanksgiving For Needy Families

Manchester students and staff members collected donations to fill more than 150 baskets for families in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NJ —Manchester Township families in need were treated to full Thanksgiving dinners this week thanks to the efforts of the Peer Leadership Program at Manchester Township High School.

The program's Helping Hands for Hunger organized a drive to collect donations for Thanksgiving food baskets containing the makings of a full Thanksgiving feast, including a turkey, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, fruit, cranberry sauce, rolls, and a dessert.

School clubs and teams from all of the district’s schools contributed to the drive, along with local businesses and individuals.
