Manchester Trio Nabbed Again -- With Assault Rifle This Time
One day after the Summit Park trio was arrested on various warrants, a search warrant turned up the banned weapon, police said.

One day after they were arrested on outstanding warrants, three Manchester men have been arrested again -- this time on charges of possession of an assault rifle, Manchester police said Wednesday.
Ty-Quan Jones, 21, Fu-Quan Jones, 23, and Qualeik Williams, 21, all of Nathan Avenue in the Summit Park section all are being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $100,000 bail each, with no 10 percent option, Manchester Capt. Todd Malland said.
The three were arrested Tuesday evening during the execution of a court-authorized search warrant at the Nathan Avenue home, Malland said.

Members of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit assisted the Manchester Township Police Investigations Unit with the execution the warrant, which Malland said resulted directly from information supplied by a concerned citizen.
During the search, a Double Star, Star-15, 5.56 mm rifle and three high-capacity loaded magazines were found in the home, he said.Due to its configuration and features, the rifle was classified as a prohibited assault firearm under New Jersey law, he said.

Ty-Quan Jones, Fu-Quan Jones and Williams each were charged with one count of possession of an assault firearm, three counts of possession of high capacity magazines and one count of possession of a rifle without a permit. Ty-Quan Jones and Williams also were charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, Malland said.
Bail was set by Manchester Municipal Court Judge Daniel F. Sahin.
The three men had been arrested just one day earlier when Manchester police went to the home acting on information out of Seaside Park that Williams was in possession of a rental car he had taken without the owner’s permission. Both Joneses were arrested at that time on warrants outstanding from Brick Township, Malland said.
The arrests are part of a focused effort in Summit Park, where there have been resident complaints about crime and other issues, Malland said Tuesday.
Manchester police also said citizen information is a crucial part of trying to keep the town safe.
