Manchester's Public Works Center Aims To Help Earth
Oil, metals, cans, bottles and even sunlight are recycled at the center
Manchester Public Works' recycling center in Whiting offers residents a chance to safely and responsibly get rid of a variety of refuse, from bottles, to metals and electronics.
The facility, located on 1360 Route 70 in Whiting, even uses solar tubes on its roof to provide lighting and save electricity.
Manchester Patch recently visited the location to see what the township is doing to help our environment. The above photo gallery shows some of what visitors can expect when making a trip. Just remember to bring your Manchester driver's license or other form of identification to get in.

Residents with any questions on what items are recyclable can consult a document on the public works department's website. Bulk pickup dates for items such as leaves and electronics are also available online.
