'Soup'er Bowl Champion Predicted At Manchester School Food Drive

Support for the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs was measured in soup and chili given to the Regional Day School food pantry.

MANCHESTER, NJ — The Philadelphia Eagles have the edge in Sunday's Super Bowl, at least according to the results of a food drive at the Regional Day School in the Manchester Township School District.

The Regional Day School's "Soup"er Bowl donation drive, which has been held annually for more than 10 years, is organized by Regional Day School staff members Megan Lambusta, Tami Sereda and Diane Kimball.

Regional Day School students put their donations into the bin for the team they predict will win of the Super Bowl on Sunday.

On Friday, the students counted the cans in each bin to tally the predicted winners. They also sorted the cans, checked expiration dates and created donation care packages for families in need, school officials said.

Along with donating the soup to Regional Day School families, the donations will also stock the Regional Day School food bank and some will be donated to a local soup kitchen.
