Toms River Man Charged With DWI After Car Overturns

Toms River Police responded to an overturned vehicle crash on Stevens Road just after 2 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Matthew Bassini, 24, of Silverton Road, Toms River, was operating a 2013 Jeep westbound when it left the roadway and struck a large brick mailbox then overturned, police said.
Bassini and his passenger Nicholas DellAcqua 23 of Toms River were transported to community medical center after the one vehicle crash.

Officer Pasquale Gambardella charged the driver with DWi and reckless driving as a result of investigating the accident, police said.
