8 Manville Locals Arrested For Shoplifting, Drugs, Fights
Among the 8 arrested are two Walmart employees who were charged with theft from the store, according to the police blotter.

MANVILLE, NJ — Eight Manville locals were arrested on multiple charges, including shoplifting, disorderly conduct, marijuana possession and more, according to the police blotter.
Manville Police Blotter items:
On Jan. 29 at 9:52 a.m.: A resident of Washington Avenue reports that someone entered his vehicle in the overnight hours. There was damage done to the vehicle but nothing was taken. Investigation to continue.

On Jan. 29 at 10:30 a.m.: A resident of Huff Avenue reports his vehicle was entered into sometime overnight. Two pairs of Oakley sunglasses were taken. The value of the sunglasses totaled $700. Also missing was a gold women's ring which was valued at $550. Investigation to continue.
On Jan. 29 at 11 a.m.: Patrols respond to Huff Avenue on the report of a suspicious vehicle. Patrols subsequently arrest Alvarony Irahet, 20, of Manville for possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS), marijuana less than 50 grams. Alvarony was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.

On Jan. 29 at 12:44 p.m.: Patrols respond to North 3rd Avenue where a resident reports someone entered his vehicle and removed a set of keys containing work, home and auto keys. The vehicle was unlocked and parked at 5 p.m. the previous day.
On Jan. 31 3:39 p.m.: Patrols respond to Walmart on the report of an employee theft. Patrols subsequently arrest Natalia Plaza-Gonzalez, 19 and Aaron Robinson-Orta, 22, of Manville for shoplifting. Both were transported to police headquarters where they were processed, charged and released from police custody.
On Jan. 31 at 10:23 p.m.: A resident of Clifton was charged with domestic violence contempt of a court order following an investigation. The resident was processed and released.
On Feb. 2 at 10:20 p.m.: Patrols respond to the Extra Pint Bar on the report of a disorderly person. Patrols subsequently arrest Seven Sheerrier, 37, of Linden for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Sheerrier was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.
On Feb. 3 at 3:55 a.m.: Albert Thomas of South Bound Brook was transported to the Somerset County Jail on a Manville warrant by patrols after being taken into custody by South Bound Brook Police Department.
On Feb. 4 at 2:23 a.m.: Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street, patrols arrest Travis Keastead, 22, of Manville for possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Keastead was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.
On Feb. 4 at 3:47 a.m.: Patrols respond to South 5th Avenue for an unwanted person. Following a fight, patrols subsequently arrest Juan G. Calderon-Jimenez, 25, of Manville and Stephen Charneski, 26, of Manville for disorderly conduct. Both were transported to police headquarters where they were processed, charged and released.
On Feb. 4 at 2:23 p.m.: Following an investigation on Dakota Street, patrols arrest Michael Cushing for possession of marijuana (fourth degree). Cushing was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged. He was then transported to the Somerset County Jail. During the investigation, Ashley Crespo of Manville was arrested for an outstanding warrant. She was processed, charged and released.
