• Library Roof Ordinance Pulled (manville.today) — Manville officials have pulled a proposed bond ordinance that would have borrowed up to $1 million to address the long-leaking roof at the Manville Public Library, leaving repairs still unresolved. Questions remain about how the original $500,000 and revised $1,000,000 cost estimates were determined, especially after an OPRA request turned up no supporting documentation. Borough leaders may schedule a special capital meeting to revisit options.
   

• First Energy Provides Grant to Support Drone Training for Police and Educators (ridgeviewecho.com) — Manville School District teachers are among those eligible for grant-funded drone pilot training at Warren County Community College's WarrenUAS program, supported by a FirstEnergy Foundation STEM grant. The course prepares educators and police for FAA Remote Pilot certification, with the next session running November 11–20, 2026. Local districts not yet involved can still nominate STEM teachers before the October 9 deadline.
